Astell Scientific is returning to Lab Innovations, the UK's leading laboratory industry event, taking place at the NEC Birmingham, Hall 2, on Wednesday 4 – Thursday 5 November 2026 (09:00–17:00 Wednesday, 09:00–16:00 Thursday). You'll find us on Stand F50, where the team will be on hand throughout both days to talk steam sterilization and answer questions about your application.
Lab Innovations brings together 4,500+ scientists, lab managers and R&D professionals alongside 150+ suppliers, for two days of live demonstrations, a full conference programme and hands-on time with the equipment on display. This year's event is built around five collaboration themes — Sustainability, AI & Automation, Quality & Compliance, Applied Innovation, and Skills & Development.
What's on Stand F50
We're bringing three autoclaves you can see in the flesh:
ASB270 — our 153-litre front-loading Swiftlock autoclave, built around a 316 stainless steel chamber with a 5.7" colour touchscreen controller. A popular choice for labs sterilizing liquids, media, glassware and discard waste, with options that extend it up to CAT III/BSL3 compliance.
AMA440 — a 63-litre top-loading compact autoclave that's genuinely plug-and-play: fill it with water, plug it in, and it's ready to go. Mounted on castors for easy relocation, it's a favourite for labs that need a self-contained unit without a fixed installation.
AMB220 — our 33-litre Ecofill benchtop autoclave, which heats only the water it needs for each cycle and can run up to 15 cycles before its reservoir needs refilling. No plumbing required — ideal for space-constrained benchtop settings.
We're also hoping to bring a display unit from the AstellBio Sink EDS range — a combined basin and thermal effluent decontamination system for sterilizing biohazardous wastewater at source. This is still subject to confirmation — check back closer to the event, or ask the team on the day.
Why visit
Stand F50 is your chance to see the equipment in person, ask the sales team about the right autoclave for your process, and find out what's changed in steam sterilization technology since you last spec'd a unit. Whether you're replacing an ageing autoclave, scoping a new lab, or just want to see the AstellBio effluent decontamination range up close, the team will be there for both days of the show.
