Astell Scientific is pleased to announce that it has achieved ISO 14001 certification for its Environmental Management System, following a formal audit process carried out by SGS in July 2026.
ISO 14001 is an internationally recognised standard for environmental management, covering how an organisation controls its environmental impact — including resource use, waste handling, and emissions management. Achieving certification demonstrates that Astell's approach to sustainability is structured, consistent, and independently verified.
"This certification reflects the consistent effort, attention to detail, and good practice that our whole team has built into everyday operations," said Chris Otusile, Quality, Compliance & Facilities Manager at Astell.
For customers and partners, the certification provides added assurance that environmental responsibility is embedded in how Astell designs, manufactures, and supports its laboratory sterilisation and effluent decontamination equipment — an increasingly important factor in procurement and supply chain assessments across the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and research sectors.
Astell will continue to build on this foundation, with further initiatives planned to reduce environmental impact across the business in the months ahead.
