300 LITRE BATCH EFFLUENT DECONTAMINATION SYSTEM

1 x 600L Holding, 1 x 300L Batch EDS - UK. This system was designed by liaising with our UK customer to tie in with their site requirements, which already included a large storage tank for their effluent. A 600L overflow tank was also integrated as part of the design and a 48kW steam generator was fitted to heat the 300L sterilization tank. The system worked so that once the customers main effluent tank was at approximately 80% capacity, effluent was pumped from their tank into the Astell holding tank before being processed in batches by the 300L sterilization chamber. This allowed effluent to be sterilized in one batch rather than the system constantly switching on and off.

This large square section autoclave was custom manufactured by Astell, featuring stainless steel panels, double doors and a custom SPF coupling which connects to a series of glove box workstations.

An ASB260 front opening 'Swiftlock' autoclave. This customised unit is fitted with optional stainless steel pipework and exterior panels, as well as an integrated steam generator and pressure vessel jacket heating/cooling system.

2000 LITRE BATCH EFFLUENT DECONTAMINATION SYSTEM

1 x 2,000L Holding, 2 x 1,000L Batch EDS - Malaysia. This system was designed to a very specific size and specification by one of Astell's customers in Malaysia which also included the local installation of the system. Designed to fit in a tight space, this system was comprised of a large holding tank with two tanks at half the size of the holding tank. Once half full the holding tank would fill one of the sterilization chambers and continue filling before doing the same with the second sterilization chamber. Batch sterilization highlights the importance of a customer knowing their effluent throughput as this aids in calculating the size of both the holding tanks and sterilization tanks required. This system was also fitted with Astells larger 72kW steam generator controlled by an independent colour touchscreen.

CIRCULAR CHAMBER DOUBLE DOOR AUTOCLAVE

This 153 litre ASB270 Swiftlock pass-through autoclave features two doors and an SPF seal. It is ideal for sterilizing items from contained areas where one side exits to a 'clean room'.

This large capacity square section autoclave features an automatic sideways opening door, colour touchscreen controller, optional printer and stainless steel panels. The Astell SQUARE MAX range is available in a choice of sizes from 600L - 1400L and with either single or double doors (pass-through).

400 LITRE BATCH EFFLUENT DECONTAMINATION SYSTEM

2 x 200L Batch EDS - Namibia. This system was a custom design which comprised of two 200 litre sterilization chambers which work on a switch basis. Once one of the tanks is full, the effluent flow is switched from the primary to the secondary tank and sterilization then begins on the primary tank. (i.e. there is no holding tank). This particular project was fitted with a 48kW steam generator (also available to purchase separately). Large agitators were also fitted to this unit to aid with effluent circulation which in turn enables faster heat up times.

SWIFTLOCK AUTOCLAVE ASSEMBLY LINE

A line of five ASB300 Swiftlock autoclaves being assembled for a prominent customer based in the far east. These units feature an electro polished stainless steel chamber, each 344 litres in capacity, and are used for general laboratory sterilization duties.

CUSTOM SQUARE SECTION AUTOCLAVE

These two autoclaves were designed to sterilize filters under water. The internal trucks are loaded with filters and held below the water line. The trucks are pushed into the chamber and then filled with clean hot water from the connections on the side of the chamber. For the sterilization cycle the chambers are fitted with magnetically driven fans to enable fast heat up and cool down of the dense loads. After cooling the door is opened and the trucks are drained before being removed.
